Position Overview
Halyard is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and oversee capital projects for a global
pharmaceutical client. The selected candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of projects ranging
from $100,000 to $50,000,000, including R&D facilities, lab environments, infrastructure
upgrades, and office renovations.
As a third-party Project Manager and Owner’s Representative, you will act as the client’s trusted
partner—ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with
corporate standards, safety requirements, and regulatory (GMP) compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital projects for pharmaceutical clients, including R&D, lab, and infrastructure initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Support capital funding requests and ensure governance compliance.
- Oversee procurement, vendor selection, and contract management.
- Coordinate project execution from design through commissioning.
- Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide regular project updates and facilitate communication across teams.
- Manage project closeout, operational handover, and training.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and best-practice implementation.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years managing capital projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences settings.
- Deep understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, Primavera).
Preferred:
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Experience as an Owner’s Representative or third-party PM.
- Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
