LINDSEY MAHLER

Senior Project COORDINATOR

Lindsey Mahler, Senior Project Coordinator at Halyard LLC, brings a unique blend of creativity, technical skill, and behind-the-scenes know-how to her role. With a background in interior design and a career shaped in facilities management, she thrives on the details that keep complex projects running smoothly.

Lindsey’s professional journey began with AutoCAD and drafting work for a large furniture company, where she discovered her love of the technical side of design—treating codes, layouts, and drawings like puzzles to be solved. After a layoff in 2008, she “stumbled into” facilities management, supporting the TD Bank account under Johnson Controls. It was there that she worked alongside Jennifer Dunigan, then a facilities manager, and the two quickly bonded. “Jennifer and I just clicked, and we’ve stayed connected ever since,” Lindsey says.

Over the next decade, Lindsey’s facilities management work expanded to include Bristol Myers Squibb and JLL, where she, tracked budgets and invoicing, oversaw purchase order processing, and ensured her team hit key performance metrics. That experience gave her both an appreciation for the urgency of facilities work—“when a pipe bursts, everything else stops until it’s fixed”—and a respect for the unglamorous but essential services that keep workplaces functioning. “Heating, cooling, trash removal, cafeteria service—those things may not be flashy, but they make life comfortable and they’re critical to business operations.”

At Halyard, Lindsey has transitioned into project management, where her role as Senior Project Coordinator focuses on purchase orders, vendor management, and budget tracking. She’s enjoying the shift from the immediate, reactive pace of facilities to the longer-range planning of projects, while bringing forward her strong organizational skills and ability to keep operations moving seamlessly behind the scenes.

Her career philosophy is simple: stay open and never burn bridges.

“I studied business, switched to design, and somehow found myself right back in the business world,” Lindsey says. “You never know where experiences will take you or when connections you make will circle back.”

Outside of Halyard, Lindsey devotes her time to Angels in Motion, a Philadelphia nonprofit that supports unhoused individuals and those experiencing substance use disorder. She distributes “blessing bags” filled with snacks, water, and a resource pamphlet in Kensington, a neighborhood heavily impacted by the drug crisis.

“There’s a lot of stigma surrounding this part of Philadelphia and those who live there, but they are still people deserving of kindness and compassion. I just try and connect with them, give out hugs, be a bright point in someone’s day and hopefully help them make positive changes.”

She also enjoys weekends spent with her longtime partner exploring antique shops and estate sales, taking road trips and at home with Lucy, her parrot of 22 years.

Lindsey’s adaptability, compassion, and technical expertise make her an invaluable member of the Halyard team—someone who keeps projects on track while never losing sight of the people behind them.
